Ingredients
6bonelessskinless chicken thighs
½cupsoy sauce
½cupbrown sugar
½cupcanned pineapple juice
¼cupketchup
1tablespoonsesame oil
1tablespoonrice wine vinegar
4garlic clovesminced
2teaspoonsginger paste
Instructions
Combine. In a large zip top bag, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, pineapple juice, ketchup, sesame oil, rice wine vinegar, garlic, and ginger paste. Place chicken thighs on top.
Marinate. Seal bag, removing excess air. Refrigerate for 4 to 6 hours.
Preheat grill. Heat grill pan over medium heat or preheat grill to medium-high heat.
Cook. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Grill chicken for 4 to 5 minutes per side until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Rest. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
If you don't have a grill, a broiler works well as an alternative cooking method.Watch for flare-ups during cooking due to the sugar content in the marinade.
