Cold Apple Cider Punch

A pretty fall punch that's easy to make for a crowd. Apple cider and orange juice with ginger ale, dressed up with fruit and cinnamon sticks. Takes 10 minutes to put together and serves about 10-12 people.

Equipment

  • 1 large punch bowl or pitcher

Ingredients

  • 8 cups apple cider chilled (1/2 gallon)
  • 2 cups fresh orange juice about 6 oranges
  • 3 cups ginger ale chilled
  • 2 oranges sliced into rounds
  • 2 apples thinly sliced
  • 4-5 cinnamon sticks
  • star anise optional
  • ice for serving

Instructions

  • Add fruit and whole spices. Serve with ice on the side, or add to the bowl if desired.
  • Add juices. Pour apple cider and orange juice over the fruit. Stir gently.
  • Add ginger ale. Right before serving, add ginger ale. Stir once gently to keep the bubbles.
  • Serve. Serve with ice on the side, or add to the bowl if desired.

Notes

For adults, set out bourbon or prosecco to add to individual glasses.
I typically serve this in a gallon mason-jar dispenser.
