Katie Shaw

I’m the founder of Heart’s Content Farmhouse, where I’ve been sharing homestead recipes for the last eight years.
I’m mostly self-taught in sourdough baking, food preservation, and from-scratch cooking. Every recipe I share has been tested extensively in my own family kitchen. Many have been featured in publications like BuzzFeed, Good Housekeeping, and Country Living.
I write recipes that way I wish someone would write them for me: clear, simple, and always with step-by-step photos.
I live in Virginia with my husband and three daughters on a small homestead with chickens, vegetable gardens, and way too many sunflowers. Like…literally over ten thousand sunflowers every year
