Composition Notebook Labels
Composition notebooks are cheap and everywhere in August, but the black-and-white marble covers all look identical the second they hit a backpack. These printable labels solve that. Five different styles, so you can pick what fits the kid (or the grown-up student, or yourself).
Each label is sized to fit the front of a standard composition notebook. Print, cut, and stick one on each subject.
Simple Serif
Clean serif type on a plain background, no frills. Good if you’re printing a lot of them or trying to conserve ink.
Floral Sprig
A small botanical sprig in the corner with room for the subject name. Pretty without being childish, so it works for older students too.
Blue Floral Patterned
An all-over blue floral print with a label space in the middle. Cheerful and unmistakably girly, great for elementary-age kids who want their notebooks to look like theirs.
Rose Outline
A single line-drawn rose with a pop of color. Simple enough for a middle schooler, still feminine.
Bubble Letters
Rounded, chunky bubble letters that feel happy and a little cartoonish. This is the one for younger kids who want their notebooks to look fun.
A few ways to actually use these
If you have more than one kid, pick a different style per child so nobody grabs the wrong math notebook by accident. A piece of clear packing tape over the top of the label after you glue it down will keep it from peeling up by October, which is when composition notebooks really start to take a beating. You can also print on sticker paper, but we find tape holds up better!
