I personally only use the round labels since I throw out the lids after each use, so I’ve linked to top labels and rectangular side labels separately.

Tips for printing labels:
Getting your printable jam jar labels ready is a breeze with the right approach. Here are some tips to ensure you get the best results:
- Use the Right Paper: Opt for full-page sticker paper to print your labels. This type of paper will make it easy to stick your labels onto the jars without having to align to pre-cut label templates. (They aren’t worth the trouble, honestly!)
- Check Printer Settings: Before printing, make sure your printer is set to the ‘Best’ quality settings and select full-size. If the printer re-scales your image, your labels won’t be 2 inches wide anymore!
- Test Print First: Do a test print on a regular sheet of paper to ensure the colors and sizes are to your liking before using your sticker paper.
- Peeling Made Easy: To make peeling the backing off easier, gently score the back of the sticker paper with a craft knife—just enough to cut the paper, not the sticker.
- Apply with Care: When applying the label, start from one side and smooth out to the other to avoid air bubbles.
With these tips, your jam jars will not only be delicious on the inside but also charming on the outside.
Tips for gifting jams:
First of all, not everyone loves nad appreciates homemade canned items! Some people will think it’s weird, and you’ll have wasted your effort on them because they won’t eat it. Know your audience 😉.
- Label with Love: Attach a personalized printable jam jar label to add a special touch, making it clear that it’s a homemade gift.
- Keep It Cool: Store your jam in a cool, dark place like a pantry or cellar to preserve its flavor and color.
- Think Seasonal: For gifting, consider the season and choose flavors that align with it, like strawberry jam in spring or apple butter in fall.
- Include Serving Suggestions: Attach a small note with serving recommendations, like pairing with fresh scones or as a glaze for meats.
- Basket Beauty: When gifting, place the jam jars in a decorative basket along with other related items like teas or fresh bread for a thoughtful touch.
- Check for Seals: Before gifting, make sure the jars have sealed properly after cooling down. The lid should not pop when pressed.
- Remember the Date: Note the ‘made on’ date clearly on your label to ensure the recipient knows how long the jam will be at its best quality.
Whether it’s for personal enjoyment or as a gift, these tips will help you present and preserve your homemade jam in the best way possible. Homemade jam is a labor of love.
