23 Cozy Fall and Holiday Drinks for a Crowd
These are the drinks I make for Friendsgiving, tree-trimming, Christmas Eve, and the in-between Sundays when neighbors stop by. Make them ahead. The house will smell like cinnamon, and the first glass is yours.

Apple Cider Punch
Chilled, fizzy, and set out in a big glass bowl so people can help themselves while you’re still setting the table. Float apple slices and cranberries on top and it looks like a centerpiece.
Fall Prosecco Sangria
This is the one I make every single year — apple cider, prosecco, and a splash of something stronger if you want it. Mixes in five minutes and looks like you spent thirty.
Apple Cranberry Sangria
Apple and cranberry is the holiday season in a glass. Works for Thanksgiving OR Christmas. Doubles cleanly if your crowd grew since last year.
Rum Slushies
Perfect for early fall when it’s still warm enough for a frozen drink but the leaves are turning. Blend a pitcher’s worth ahead and stash it in the freezer until people arrive.
Spiked Apple Cider
If I could only keep one recipe from this whole list, it’s this one. The slow cooker does the work and your house will smell like a cider mill. Guests just ladle their own. Leave the booze on the side and it’s a kid drink too.
Apple Pie On The Rocks
Tastes just like it sounds. Basically a dessert for grown-ups. Batch it in a mason jar the night before so the cinnamon has time to settle in.
Apple Pear Sangria
Apples and pears sliced into a bottle of white wine, chilled overnight until the fruit tastes like dessert. Bring the pitcher out at Friendsgiving and let people ladle their own while you carve.
Mulled Wine Recipe
The classic — red wine, orange peel, cloves, cinnamon sticks, warmed slow on the stove until the kitchen smells like December. Ladle it into mugs for tree-trimming night.
Easy Hot Toddy
For the guest who shows up cold from the drive and needs something in their hands right that minute. Honey, lemon, whiskey, and hot water fixes what ails you.
Long Day Rum Punch
Three ingredients and one big pitcher. This is what I make when I’ve been cooking all day and can’t look at another mixing bowl. Spiced rum carries it.
Hot Buttered Rum
Make the buttered spice batter ahead and keep it in the fridge; when someone wants one, a spoonful into a mug of hot water plus rum and you’re done. This is the drink that makes people linger by the fire instead of heading home.
Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail
When you want a real cocktail on Thanksgiving night after the dishes are done — bourbon, cider, and a good orange peel. Stirred, not shaken, one glass at a time, the way a proper old fashioned should be.
Christmas Prosecco Sangria
Cranberries, orange slices, and cinnamon sticks in prosecco. So pretty on the Christmas Eve table. Make it right before guests arrive so the bubbles are still going.
Homemade Wassail
An old English Christmas drink your grandmother might have made. Cider, orange juice, and warming spices simmered together. Your house will smell amazing!
Easy Christmas Cranberry Punch
The red punch from every church basement of my childhood. Still works! Mix it up the morning of and forget about it until the doorbell rings.
Cranberry Moscow Mule
A holiday twist on the copper-mug classic, and the cranberry makes it look like it belongs on the Christmas table. Good option when someone at the party doesn’t want anything sweet or spiced.
Apple Cider Margarita
For the household where margaritas are the answer no matter what month it is, this one just swaps in cider and leans into fall. Batch a pitcher for Halloween night after the kids go to bed.
Maple Old Fashioned
Maple instead of sugar and bourbon instead of whiskey. The COZIEST old fashioned. This is a nice one to hand your father-in-law when he sits down after dinner.
Sparkling Champagne Punch
Sparkling, ruby-red, and pretty enough to be the centerpiece — this is the New Year’s Eve punch, no question. Sugared cranberries floating on top take about two minutes and make it look like it belongs in a magazine.
Campfire Fireball Cocktail
For the night you drag the fire pit out and everybody comes over in coats and boots. Cinnamon whiskey plus cider, warm in a mug, no fuss.
Winter Cranberry Gin Fizz Cocktail
Cranberries and rosemary infused into a simple syrup ahead of time, then it’s just gin and a splash of fizz when you’re ready to pour. The kind of drink that makes a regular Tuesday feel like the party.
Pumpkin Spice White Russian
For the friend who’s been waiting all year for pumpkin spice everything. Batch the base and it turns into cocktails at the drop of a hat all through October.
