- They make a great gift.
🧂 Ingredients
This is an overview of the ingredients. You’ll find the full measurements and instructions in the printable recipe at the bottom of the page.

You’ll need the following for this easy DIY:
- beeswax
- coconut oil
- avocado oil
- almond oil
- shea butter or mango butter
- powdered goat milk
- ¾ tablespoon fragrance oil (I use Comfort and Joy from Nurture Soap, which has a great selection)
🥣 Equipment
- Medium saucepan
- Spatula
- Guest size soap mold
🍴Instructions
Step One: Measure

Measure the beeswax, coconut oil, avocado oil, almond oil, and shea butter into a medium saucepan. Use a digital scale to make sure you get the right amounts.
Step Two: Melt

Melt the oils over medium-low heat, stirring constantly. Do not leave them unattended, as beeswax is very flammable. The butters will melt first and the beeswax pellets will take longer. This is normal, so don’t worry.
Step three: pour

When all of the components are melted, add the fragrance oil. Stir it in well. Pour the mixture into the mold quickly.
Step FouR: unmold

Allow the bars to harden for 4-8 hours before you turn them out.
🥫 Storage instructions
These bars don’t need to be refrigerated, but they should be kept relatively cool, out of direct sunlight and very hot spaces.

This sounds like a wonderful recipe…. Can’t wait to try it out! Could I use fresh goats milk, instead of powder ?
Hey Sue, I’m so happy you want to try it! Fresh goat’s milk has water in it, so the bars might not last as long. The powdered milk helps keep them stable. If you use fresh milk, you may need to store them in the fridge and use them quickly. Hope that helps! Let me know how it goes!
I love the idea of this recipe BUT when do you add the goat milk. You don’t mention that in your instructions! Please explain so that I can make it correctly!
Hey Iris,
You’re absolutely right—I missed that step! Add the goat milk powder when you mix in the essential oils and vitamin E, just before pouring into the molds. Make sure it’s blended well for a smooth finish. Hope that helps, and I’d love to hear how they turn out!
Thanks very much for your explanation about the goats milk. You mentioned in your reply about essential oils and vitamin E. However I don’t see either of those mentioned in your recipe. Please share how much of each should be used in this recipe? Thank you
Thanks for your reply but I’m confused about how much essential oils and vitamin E is required for the recipe. You mentioned that in your reply but not in the recipe itself. Your help is appreciated.
